Aiden vs Firstbase.

Firstbase advertises formation from $99 (state fees separate). To operate, its products are sold separately, per year: Agent $299, Tax Filing from $899, Mailroom from $315. With Aiden, the subscription bundles it.

vs

Firstbase is a solid platform with a modern UI and 24/7 support. The difference with Aiden is in the pricing model: they charge separate add-ons, Aiden includes everything in the monthly fee. When you add it all up, the difference is significant.

Why founders switch
a Aiden.

01

No surprise add-ons

At Aiden, the price is the price. At Firstbase, formation costs $99, and what you need to operate is sold separately, per year: Agent ($299), Tax Filing (from $899) and Mailroom (from $315).

02

Human, Spanish-speaking advisor

Firstbase has 24/7 chat, but it's all in English with generic answers. Aiden gives you a dedicated advisor who messages you on WhatsApp in Spanish.

03

One price, not a catalogue

With Firstbase you pay for each product separately, every year. With Aiden, the PRO subscription bundles agent, filings management, Books, assisted banking and a Spanish-speaking advisor.

04

Teams included in PRO

Invite your co-founder, accountant or assistant at no extra cost. Firstbase doesn't have this feature.

When it's better for each.

We're not going to tell you Aiden always wins. There are cases where it doesn't.

F

When Firstbase is better

Cases where it would be honest to recommend the competition.

  • You're going to use Carta for your cap table from day one

Firstbase has native Carta integration to create cap tables in one click. If your immediate plan is raising from investors and you need Carta, this saves you setup work.

  • You want Wyoming instead of Delaware

Firstbase offers formation in Wyoming, where the franchise tax is $60/year versus $300 in Delaware. Aiden currently only covers Delaware in the US. For solo founders, Wyoming can save money.

  • You don't mind piecing together 4-5 different add-ons

If you'd rather choose your setup piece by piece (formation + address + tax + books + RA), Firstbase gives you more modular options.

When Aiden is better

Cases where the difference is real and measurable.

  • You want a fixed price with no surprises

At Aiden you pay one subscription and everything is included. At Firstbase, formation costs $99 and what you need to operate (Agent, Tax Filing, Mailroom) is paid separately, every year.

  • You prefer a human, Spanish-speaking advisor over generic chat

Firstbase's 24/7 chat responds fast but with generic answers in English. Aiden assigns you a human advisor who knows your case.

  • You also need a UK option

If your clients are European, a UK Limited can be better than Delaware (no Franchise Tax, contracts in GBP). Aiden covers both jurisdictions. Firstbase is US-only.

  • You want to invite your team to the dashboard

Aiden Teams comes with PRO at no extra cost: co-founders, accountant, assistant with permissions per section and action. Firstbase has no multi-user.

Examples of common situations

Does any of this sound familiar?

What follows is not a client testimonial: it is a hypothetical example built from situations we solve every day.

Hypothetical example

When “cheap” grows with every add-on

A common situation: the entry plan looks cheaper, but the address, tax filing or bookkeeping are sold as add-ons and the total cost stops resembling the advertised price. With Aiden you know from the start what your plan includes, what belongs to the PRO plan and what is quoted separately.

What everyone people ask us.

Isn't Firstbase much cheaper? Formation is $99 vs Aiden's ~$1,188/year.

The entry price does not tell the whole story. To operate with compliance, Firstbase adds up: $99 formation (first year only) + $299 Agent + $899 Tax Filing + $315 Mailroom ≈ $1,612 in year one, plus state fees. Aiden covers for $1,188/year: formation, registered address, Aiden Books, assisted banking, advisor and dashboard. Federal tax filing (Form 5472) is contracted separately as Aiden Tax Filing.

What does Firstbase do better than Aiden?

Three concrete things: native Carta integration for the cap table, a Wyoming option (cheaper), and their marketplace of partner deals and discounts (legal ones included). If your priority is preparing an immediate investment round, this can matter to you.

Does Aiden handle Form 5472 the same way Firstbase does with its tax add-on?

Yes, through Aiden Tax Filing, our specialised service contracted separately from the subscription: Form 5472 and pro forma Form 1120 every year, cheaper than Firstbase's add-on ($899/year) or a US CPA. Franchise Tax management is included in the subscription (the official fee is paid separately).

Are Mercury, Brex and Wise all available?

Aiden works mainly with Mercury and Wise. Firstbase has a broader marketplace (Mercury, Brex, Wise, Relay and others). If you have a clear preference for a specific bank that's only available on one, that settles it.

Can I migrate from Firstbase to Aiden?

Yes. The process is similar to migrating from Atlas: a registered agent change (7-14 days), we take over compliance for the current year, and from the following month everything is Aiden. The LLC and EIN stay the same.
